Mallika to teach Vivek how to kiss

Mallika Sherawat has apparently promised to put Vivek Oberoi at ease before filming an intimate scene for 'Kismat, Love, Paisa, Dilli'

She has almost made a career out of the number of kisses she has shared with her co-stars on screen. We could very well imagine then that a few steamy scenes would be no big deal for Mallika Sherawat.

However, the same cannot be said about her co-star Vivek Oberoi, who for the first time will be seen indulging in some serious lovemaking scenes with her in their film Kismat, Love, Paisa, Dilli (KLPD).

Our source says, "When Mallika read the scenes she was more than okay with the idea, but Vivek was a little skeptical. He has never kissed on screen before, but she told him that it would be no big deal."

Buzz is that after watching the sizzling Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture, Mallika wants to go all out in the oomph department.

Adds the source, "Most people know that she has no qualms about doing sensual sequences." Interestingly, one of them would be shot Buddha Gardens in Delhi, which is a popular lovers spot in the city.

Says a source, "Vivek plays a hardcore Delhi guy and Mallika plays a Haryanvi. So the romance between them is also pretty loud and in your face.

The writers thought this would be an ideal location since people would be familiar with the surroundings and therefore will look natural."

Producers Amit Chandra and Kishen Chowdhary have apparently made sure they acquire all required permissions for the shoot to avoid any objections later on, considering that this will be one of the most important sequences in the film.

Mallika Sherawat’s NY dress shipping cost is One Lakh!

Mallika Sherawat has been paid a bomb, apparently highest fees this year for her New Year Performance in Mumbai and the jalebi bai is busy making sure, she proves to be worthy of it.

It has been reported that Mallika will be paid a huge amount for her half hour appearance, starting 11 pm onwards at a private hotel, estimated to be around Rs4 lakh per minute!

The actress was spotted rehearsing for her big night at Tulip Star, Juhu with ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who's also choreographed Katrina's current hit 'Chikni Chameli'.

Our source revealed, "The actress does Pranayam before her rehearsals. She rehearses for more than two hours at the venue. She is going to perform on Jalebi Bai, Kolavari D, bheege honth tere and other hit numbers. Highlight of the evening is her dress which has been specially designed by Ashley Rebello and the cost of the dress is 10 Lakhs!"

Mallika has been an Ashley loyalist for years now. Ashley's designs work for Mallika and grab just the right amount of attention the actress seeks.

Ashley Mallika combo has been in news ever since, Ashley had designed a diamond studded nude jumpsuit for Mallika for her New Year performance in 2007.

Mallika had worn a single piece skin colored jump suit with a bikini top that was studded with diamonds on New Year's eve in 2007. The designer had back then rubbished claims that his outfit was vulgar. "She was covered from the neck to toe. She was wearing a skin color full body suit, which has got two layers of fabric" said Ashley.

"This year too the outfit will be raunchy and sensational although not really vulgar. Mallika's outfit has been designed keeping the songs in mind. The shipping cost of the dress was surprisingly one lakh, it reached just last night, the makeup cost is above one Lakh too!" revealed a source closely working with Ultimate Cine and Tele and Ican Entertainment, organizers of the event. Ashley was unavailable for comment , he being in Dubai.

Over to you Mallika, we are sure you will set the stage on fire with your Jalebi like moves!

Mallika's make-up to cost Rs 60 lakh

He has worked with international glam divas like Eva Mendes, Emily Blunt and Tyra Banks. Now, renowned make-up artist Jeffrey Paul is set to work his magic on Mallika Sherawat. But the ‘glam touch’ is likely to set the producers back by a whopping Rs 60 lakh.

The story goes like this: When
makers of Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD), starring Vivek Oberoi, were brainstorming about Mallika’s make-up person, she suggested Jeffrey’s name. The actor shares a comfort level with Jeffrey as he had done her make-up for her red carpet appearance at this year’s Academy Awards.

Later, when producer Amit Chandrra of Invincible Entertainment looked at the Oscar pictures, he too was impressed with Jeffrey’s work. Immediately, the production house got in touch with him in the US.

MallikaInsiders from the unit inform that the film will be shot in a three-month-long start-to-finish schedule, with Mallika shooting for about two months. And since Jeffrey charges around a lakh per day, his expertise will cost the production house Rs 60 lakh.

When contacted, Chandrra confirms: “Yes, we have discussed things with Jeffrey. Everything is finalized, including the money. But we are trying to work out his dates since he is a busy man in Hollywood.”

Ask Chandrra if Jeffrey is charging Rs 60 lakh and he laughs, “I can’t talk figures but yes, it’s a very high amount. And since we are putting in a lot of hard work, why hold back in any department? I am sure the results will be superb.”

Incidentally, Hollywood technicians too are being roped in for high-octane action and stunt sequences to be shot for the film.

Mallika Sherwat to be paid Rs. 4 lakh per minute ?

Mallika Sherawat will apparently be paid Rs. 4 lakh per minute for performing on 2011 New Year's Eve.

Mallika Sherawat has been offered a whooping Rs. 4 lakh per minute to perform in a private hotel in Mumbai. The actress is likely to perform for just half an hour and will make an appearance at 11 pm. The organisers are even ready to hike her pay if Mallika decides to sizzle on stage a bit longer!

Most leading actors and actresses have apparently kept away from this year's New Year bash since companies and organisers are not ready to shell out much money. Many stars are demanding more fees than what they were paid last year, and the companies are not in a position to pay much.

Vivek & Mallika to get dirty

The chemistry is now much spoken about and Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat are all geared up to do justice to the same. Amit Chandrra's KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI is going to show Delhi in a never seen light before. The film that was earlier called GYRAH CHALLIS KI LAST METRO is now called KLPD simply because all three elements Kismat Love Paisa come together in a fun crazy night in Delhi.

The film that highlights the glitter and glamour of Delhi would be shot in various locales of the capital. Post seeking permission to shoot in the Qutub Minar, the producer who had recently gone for a recce now decides to shoot at the famous Buddha gardens in New Delhi. The picturesque garden that is located in South of Delhi boast of paved pathways, lush landscaped lawns, blossoming flowers, streams, sloping terrain and huge trees. The garden which is known as the place for love birds would now make way for KLPD as it would be the first film ever to be shot there.

The film being based completely in Delhi will have several of Delhi's popular spots and since the story's about youngsters it was given that some portions were to include few spots frequented by youngsters like the Buddha gardens. Walk into Buddha Gardens, Delhi and rest assured of going completely red in the face. Your view will include men lying in the lap of their ladies, kissing them and playing with their hair. And they don't even mind having an audience. You might find a constable trying to hush them away, although some smart ones buy time from the cops by bribing them.

If our sources are to be believed these very scenes will be seen in your cinema halls soon. The film in question being the Sanjay Khanduri directed KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD) that will have its lead pair consisting of Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat indulging in some PDA. The source also goes on to add that the producer Amit Chandrra himself being from Delhi selected all the locations for the shoot. Looks like post Vidya and Emraan, Vivek and Mallika are all geared up to get dirty.

Murder girl now Haryanvi girl

She is famous as Bollywood’s sultry queen. And now, Mallika Sherawat is set to do KLPD. Well, the Murder girl is set to act in Sanjay Khanduri’s next film, KLPD — Kismat Love Paisa Dilli — opposite Vivek Oberoi. And what’s interesting is that the Rohtak girl for the first time will revisit her
Haryanvi roots for the film.

“Mallika is the perfect choice because she comes from the Haryanvi-Punjabi milieu. So, she can easily carry off the typical attitude and the body language of a North Indian girl, besides the natural grasp over the lingo,” says producer Amit Chandrra of Invincible Entertainment.

The makers were actually “looking for an actor who could fit into the tez, tarrar bracket” easily. “And considering the film’s theme, its setting and Vivek’s Delhi ka munda character, no one else could have fit the role better than Mallika,” says Chandrra.

At the same time, unlike most of Mallika’s films, KLPD doesn’t aim to focus only on her sensual side. “Mallika’s role will be more on the lines of Pyaar Ke Side Effects. She is also very excited because she also feels that after a long time, she has got a performance-oriented role,” says Chandrra.

Although the actor hails from Haryana, she will go through workshops to get into the character. “We’ve already started the preparations with Vivek. Once Mallika is back from the US, she too will go through language workshops and story sessions along with him,” says the producer.

Contrary to reports, Chandrra clarifies that KLPD is not exactly a sequel to Gyrah Chalis Ki Last Local (GCKLL). “The only similarity with GCKLL is that KLPD is also a story of one night and how it affects the lives of its protagonists. But that’s where the similarity ends,” he says.

KLPD goes on floors later this month and will be shot extensively in Delhi around January-February. “We are going to shoot the film in a start-to-finish schedule,” says Chandrra.

Mallika Sherawat books return ticket to Bollywood

Mallika Sherawat has finally decided to get over her Hollywood hangover and give Hindi cinema a second chance. However, the actress isn't interested in being one of many actors in a multistarrer. Neither does she want to be 'a one-song wonder'. A friend close to the actress revealed that despite offers from big production houses, the actress has chosen to mark her return to Bollywood with Sanjay Khanduri's Kismat, Love, Paisa, Dilli (KLPD) that was earlier known as Gyarah Chalis Ki Last Metro.

The friend of the actress informed Mumbai Mirror, "Mallika was offered a project by Vishesh Films. She had worked with the production house in Murder, the film that made Mallika a star. Also, YRF Films offered her a role in their next project. This too did not excite Mallika since the role was too small."

In the beginning of the year, it was reported that Mallika would replace Bipasha Basu in the sequel to Jism. According to industry insiders, Bipasha was approached for the role in KLPD that Mallika has now taken over.

"Mallika wanted to make a comeback as a leading lady. She is coming to India next week. Her film with Vivek goes on floors on December15," added the friend.

When contacted, producer of KLPD, Amit Chandrra confirmed Mallika's presence in the film and added, "We called her and pitched the film. After the initial approval, we discussed the script with her via video calls. We are happy to have her on board."

Mallika replaces Bipasha

One bombshell replaces another! No offence to Bipasha but looks like she has been replaced by Mallika a role opposite Vivek Oberoi.

Director Sanjay Khanduri is coming up with the sequel of his film Ek Challis Ki Last Local. The sequel is set in Delhi and is titled Gyarah Challis Ki Last Metro and was to star Vivek Oberoi opposite Bipasha.

But there is a change in the cast. A birdie chirps to us that Bipasha is no longer a part of the film. The reason of her ouster is not clear, but sources say the makers felt she didn’t suit the character of a Punjabi girl well. However, Bipasha’s exorbitant acting fee may be the reason why the producers let go of the idea of casting her and roped in Mallika Sherawat in her place.

So now we will see Vivek Oberoi romancing Mallika Sherawat in the movie.

Both Mallika and Vivek need a hit film to change the trajectory of their career graphs. Will Gyarah Challis Ki Last Metro be the one?

Vivek Oberoi’s career sure can use some resuscitation for we haven’t seen him in a hit film for almost four years. His performance in Rakhta Charitra was appreciated no doubt and his latest movie Dekh Indian Circus, the DVDs of which were distributed recently to the media, has done well at festival circuit, but a hit movie would sure make his filmography look better.

SEX BOMB! Mallika Sherawat turns 30

Mallika Sherawat (Hindi: मल्लिका शेरावत, born Reema Lamba) (born 24 October, 1976) is a former Indian model, now working as an actress in mainly Bollywood films. Known for her bold onscreen attitude,[1] Sherawat has been frequently featured in the media as a sex symbol.[2] She is one of the few Bollywood stars trying to crossover to Hollywood,[3][4] with films like Hisss and Politics of Love.[5]

Early life

Sherawat was born Reema Lamba in Rohtak, Haryana to a Jat family.[6] Mallika was born in the family of Seth Chhaju Ram, a leading Jat philanthropist.[7] She was born on October 24, though the year is unknown.[8] She adopted the screen name of "Mallika", meaning "empress", to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema.[9] "Sherawat" is her mother's maiden name[8] She has stated that she uses her mother's maiden name because of the support that her mother has provided her.[9] Although relations with her family were strained when she entered the film industry,[10] now Sherawat's family have accepted her career choice and reconciled their relations.[7]

Sherawat went to school at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road.[11] She has obtained a degree in philosophy from Miranda House, Delhi University.[12] During the initial days of her career, she claimed to have come from a very conservative small town family, and that she faced many hurdles from her family in pursuing her career.[13] However, Mallika's family has refuted this as a story created by her to give her an aura of a small town rustic girl who made it big in Bollywood.[10] It has been reported that she was married for a short while to a Jet Airways pilot Captain Karan Singh Gill.[10]
Career

Before entering films, Sherawat appeared in television commercials with Amitabh Bachchan for BPL and Shahrukh Khan for Santro.[14] She also appeared in Nirmal Pandey's Maar Dala and Surjit Bindrakhia's Lak Tunoo music video.[15] She debuted in films with a small role in Jeena Sirf Merre Liye where she was credited as Reema Lamba.[16]

Sherawat attracted notice with her appearance in the 2003 film, Khwahish. In 2004, she starred in Murder, a film inspired by Hollywood's Unfaithful. She received a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards for her performance in Murder. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.[17]

Since then, Sherawat has been known for expressing her opinions in public, as well for the reaction to some of her statements.[18]

In 2005, Sherawat acted in The Myth, a Chinese film, co-starring with Jackie Chan. She played the role of an Indian princess who falls in love and is rescued by Jackie. The Myth was her first International film. Her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival[19] to promote the film grabbed a lot of attention with Time Magazine's Richard Corliss calling her "the next big thing".[20]

Her performance in the 2006 film Pyaar Ke Side Effects, co-starring Rahul Bose, won her praise from around the industry,[21] and the film also did moderately well at the box office.[22]

Her first release in 2007 was Mani Ratnam's Guru, in which she appeared in a special song, "Mayya Mayya". She also played a guest role in Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story and reportedly charged Rs. 15 million for a 10-minute appearance.[23] Her last release of 2007 was Welcome, which also did well at the box office receiving blockbuster status.[24]

Her 2008 releases were Ugly Aur Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam. Both films were unsuccessful at the box office.
Hollywood

In 2009, Sherawat starred in a Hollywood film named Hisss, co-starring Irrfan Khan and directed by Jennifer Lynch. The film, based on the legend of Nāga, is an independent co-production between the United States and India.[3] Endeavour Independent has bought the distribution rights of Hisss.[25] Sherawat promoted the film with live snakes at the Cannes Film Festival 2010.[26] Hisss was release in all major Indian languages on 22 October 2010.[27]

Sherawat starred in another Hollywood film, Politics of Love, aka Love, Barack, directed by William Dear.[28] She plays Aretha Gupta, a devoted local Obama volunteer coordinator. The film is a romantic comedy set during Barack Obama's campaign for the US Presidency. First look of Love, Barack was unveiled by Sherawat at Cannes 2010.[29] It was released in 2011.

Sherawat won the 2008 Renaissance Artist Award at the 16th Annual Diversity Awards held in California.[30] On 14 August 2009, Sherawat received a career recognition Honorary Citizenship of Los Angeles for her career achievements and charitable efforts.[31]
