Singer-actor Jessica Simpson says she will marry fiance Eric Johnson after she gives birth to their first child.

The 31-year-old, who confirmed last month that she is expecting, says she doesn't want to be a pregnant bride and so won't be saying "I do" until the baby is born,
reported Us magazine.

"We were always going to wait until after the baby. We flirted around with different dates before I found out I was pregnant, and thankfully we didn't lock anything down. I want to enjoy the day... I'm glad we didn't make a deposit.

"I just didn't want to be stressed out. Now when I get stressed out it's like 50 times worse. So I really want to enjoy that day and now I get to have my baby with me," Simpson said.

The actor announced her pregnancy on Halloween as she posted a picture of herself dressed as a mummy on JessicaSimpson.com with the caption, "It's true, I'm going to be a mummy! My kid's going to think I'm pretty cool. This is a cool thing to welcome him to the world with."

Jessica Simpson, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson this Christmas has been spotted checking out real estate in New York City.

Flaunting her rather large baby bump, the 31-year-old actress was seen checking out swanky potential residences with her mom, Tina Simpson, and a few friends.


Although Simpson, has yet to confirm her pregnancy, the star appears to be six months pregnant, Radar Online reported.

The ‘Irresistible’ hitmaker has been engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson since November 14, 2010.

American actress-singer Jessica Simpson's new TV show The Price of Beauty is proving to be a costly affair for the bosses, as she is spending $25,000 an episode to ensure she looks good in front of the camera.

The star is set to jet around the world for the new VH1 project, which will examine different beauty regimes in a variety of cultures but TV bosses have been forced to come to grips with the real price of Simpson's beauty, as a staggering $25,000 is spent on a hair and make-up team for the singer, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"To get her camera-ready each episode will cost $25,000. She insists on using her own hair, makeup and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than JLos," said a source.

"A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied," the source added.
