Riding high on the success of The Dirty Picture, actress Vidya Balan on Wednesday suggested that the Khans of Bollywood could now use 'Balan' as a suffix to their names.
After delivering her latest hit -- The Dirty Picture -- Vidya has been smiling all the way to the bank, proving that she was no less than any Khan. Producer of the film, Ekta Kapoor, therefore, added a new surname to Vidya.
Vidya and Ekta were celebrating the success of The Dirty Picture in Mumbai and the talented heroine could not help but bask in the success of her latest release.
"Ab aapka naam hai Vidya Balan Khan (Now your name is Vidya Balan Khan)," Ekta said.
But Vidya was quick to turn the tables.
When a reporter asked her about the title given by Ekta, she replied: "Aisa hai, saare Khan ke naam ke aage Balan laga dete hain (Let's put Balan after the names of all Khans)."
"I can assure you that the glow is because of The Dirty Picture," the actress admitted.
"I have never been part of the race. I am still standing by myself but I am just happy for the kind of films that I have got, like The Dirty Picture, which for me is a huge landmark," she said.
Since Vidya was in a mood to challenge, she threw her next after she was asked about Kareena Kapoor's upcoming film Heroine aspiring to be like The Dirty Picture.
"Mujhe laga tha ki isse zyada dirty koi ban nahi sakta (I had thought that nobody could get dirtier than this). Woh log Heroine banake Dirty Picture toh bana nahin payenge (They can't redo a Dirty Picture with Heroine)," Vidya said.
