Govinda’s daughter Narmada finds her man
Govinda’s daughter Narmada Ahuja’s big Bollywood debut faced many hurdles in the past. The film, which was supposed to star boxing champion Vijender Singh hit a roadblock when reportedly, the sportsman refused to be a part of the project.
However, director Lovely Singh seems to have finally solved all problems. Narmada will now be romancing Vinod Khanna’s nephew Akhil Kapoor in the film titled Tutak Tootak Tutiyan. The film will go on floors in December this year.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, “There have been a lot of speculations surrounding the film, right from the title Manchali to the casting. The film was never really titled Manchali. In fact, the script has just been finalised. Some of the songs have been recorded as well. Several actors were considered including boxer Vijender Singh. However, the director has finalised Akhil Kapoor for the male lead.”
When contacted, Lovely Singh said, “We never signed Vijender Singh. He was considered for the role since the film is based in north India. However, when we saw Akhil and did a few screen tests with him, we knew we have found our man.”
“Akhil worked as an assistant in Race, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd and Salaam-E-Ishq. He understands cinema. He is everything I want from my lead,” added Singh.
