Hrithik Roshan’s outing in the finale of his TV show, Just Dance, has reportedly garnered the highest TRPs recently, beating other shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs and India’s Got Talent 3.
And for the last episode of his reality TV dance show, the actor, along with his choreographer
friend Ganesh Hegde, ended up working continuously for 36 hours.
“It was really tough because Hrithik and I started shooting at 5 pm and finished at around 7 am the next day. And since the channel had a 9 pm telecast, we had to edit it the same day,” says Hegde. “So, both of us went to a hotel, had breakfast and came back to the sets because he had to shoot the final portion of the show and I had to edit it.”
As a result, Hegde admits that Hrithik didn’t sleep at all. “From 10 am to 1 pm, he finished the shoot and came back to the studio. While I was editing, he was jumping around and watching the edits. Finally, at around 7 pm the next day, we finished the editing. So, it was a 26-hour non-stop working schedule for both of us. Of course, he was very tired by the end of it,” says Hegde.
It was earlier reported that Hrithik would shoot a complete music video for Just Dance. “Hrithik didn’t have the required dates because he was shooting Agneepath. So, we thought of converting it into a finale performance,” says Hegde, who sang the finale song with Suraj Jagan. “Suraj and I have sung the song. But I have directed the entire portion,” he adds.
The Chammak Challo... choreographer says that he gave Hrithik “really challenging and tough” steps. “His body was going through a lot of pain since he was dancing and gymming rigourously for his film at the same time. But he kept on telling me that he would do it. And he really managed it well,” says Hegde.
