Marilyn Monroe’s nude photo to go under the hammer

Marilyn Monroe’s naked photograph, take during the start of her career will go under the hammer at Swann Auction Galleries in New York on October 18.

The picture, one of a large number of copies, was clicked by photographer Tom Kelley and is expected to garner thousands of pounds at the auction.

“People have always loved pictures of Marilyn,” the Daily Express quoted Auctioneer Daile Kaplan as saying.

Apparently the actress was just paid 50 dollars for the picture and she used this amount to purchase a car so that she could drive around Hollywood in search of work.

Four years later, the picture also featured in the first issue of Playboy magazine.
