We all know Akshay Kumar is a fitness freak and preaches healthy living. Khiladi Kumar turned to twitter and requested his fans to quit smoking! Well, we assume he got really emotional while writing his tweet and you can sense that these words are straight from his heart.
He wrote: “Been inspired today, my lil cousin brother and his mates have made a short film about 'Smoking Kills', cant tell you how proud I am. In minutes they made me realise how much we all can take our bodies for granted, be it drinking, smoking or even just over-eating! And how we all think 'Nothing will ever happen to me', well sadly it does.
“We underestimate what the youth actually goes through these days, their struggles, their stresses, and we all wonder why they turn to smoking and drinking so easily! That is no excuse, but it is definitely a cry for help of some sort. I know many that start coz of exam pressure or a parent dying or even a broken heart We need to help them, educate them in a way they understand just how much their health can suffer and not just ban them coz its bad for you, but come to their level.
“If you know someone you love dearly, help them, luck doesn't come to those that cant help themselves. I know it aint easy, but neither is dying of Lung or Liver Cancer.
“To everyone with a habit, for me, for your family, make the biggest effort of your life. The Joy of Giving week is coming soon, what better gift than the gift of a longer and healthier life.
“To my cousin Karan, thank you and your friends for creating something so wise, so true and so inspiring. Everyone out there thank you for reading this, this is not a lecture, this is just me giving a few minutes of compassion to the people who I care about and that is you... Take care, always...”
Having a look at the length of this tweet, Akshay, we are wondering if twitter is a micro blogging site or a macro blogging site! Anyway, we hope your tweet creates a macro impact!
