After The Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan is set to portray a pregnant woman called Vidya Bagchi in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani.
In search of her missing husband, Vidya's kahaani has many twists and turns.
Kahaani seems to be another woman-centric movie after The Dirty Picture for Vidya.
Reportedly, the film is partially inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster Kill Bill, which was directed by Quentin Tarantino.
Produced by Ghosh, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Pen India Private Limited, Kahaani has been extensively shot in Kolkata, which incidentally is Vidya’s favourite city.
In the past, Vidya has spoken of how she could perform the role in Kahaani with utmost ease, as she would always joke with her friends about how differently women walk when they are pregnant.
She also tried to copy the way they take deep breaths in between.
The film starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi would hit theatres on January 20, 2012.
This is the second time Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi would be seen on screen together. They were paired up in The Dirty Picture.
