Following a directive from the Nampally Criminal Court, Nallakunta police Saturday filed a First Information Report against actress Vidya Balan in connection with the promos and posters of film 'The Dirty Picture' .
Nallakunta police said that cases were registered against Vidya Balan under the Prohibition of Indecent Representation of Woman Act besides section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) of IPC.
A few days back, an advocate , Sai Krishna Azad, moved a private petition in the Nampally alleging that Balan had appeared in indecent promos and trailers of the film.
Based on the petitioner's request, the magistrate directed Nallakunta police to submit a report.
